Other Names: Tertiary Butyl Acetate ,Tbac
Appearance: colorless transparent liquid
tert-Butyl acetate, t-butyl acetate or TBAc is a colorless flammable liquid with a camphor- or blueberry-like smell. It is used as a solvent in the production of lacquers, enamels, inks, adhesives, thinners and industrial cleaners. It has recently gained EPA volatile organic compound (VOC) exempt status.
paints, inks, adhesives:
Tert-butyl acetate in the decorative and industrial coatings, and ink, adhesive, adhesives and other formulations, alternative VOC and HAP solvents, acetone and methyl acetate which is more than the less volatile and non-flammable.
industrial cleaning agents:
As a solvent-based cleaning agent, tert-butyl acetate, and chlorinated solvents in general and hydrocarbon solvents also has a wide range of solubility, and as a non-halogenated solvents, will not damage the ozone layer, can be used for metal degreasing and special equipment cleaning, such as aviation, aerospace industrial machinery, precision machinery and equipment cleaning and so on. In addition, can effectively remove toluene, and acetone were washed mineral oil contaminated soil, such as lithium-based grease.
the electronics industry:
Tert-butyl acetate in semiconductor processing has some applications in photoresist formulations can be used to replace other solvents can also be used for cleaning circuit boards, degreasing and removal of flux.
Agricultural products; textiles; pharmaceutical intermediates; gasoline additive shock.
